One of the common things I hear from clients in sales meetings is why do we need a new website? Our business is doing pretty good with what we have. In fact, to take that one step further, we met with a client just a few weeks ago that said, “our business has been here since the 1800’s and has managed to do just fine.”
While I understand this line of thinking completely, I believe it is keeping EVERY business from their potential. If you have been around here for a while, you have probably heard me say my favorite quote by Andy Stanley, which is “if you always do what you’ve always done, then you’ll always be where you’ve always been.” This could not be more true with our current topic.

Here is how we accomplish that.
1. Header Image/video and phrase that leaves an IMMEDIATE impression!
I can not express the importance of this enough. Your potential clients are hit with 3,000 marketing messages per day so we must leave an impression, otherwise, we are just like everyone else. We suggest a header VIDEO that is professional and shows what your company is great at. (See greenfoxmarketing.net home page for an example. The phrase is the second part. This is a simple line that explains what you do in a way that is helpful to your client. For us, it is “Your strategic marketing partner.” This says we are here for you, we are a marketing company and we want to partner with you.
2. A Clear Call to Action (CTA)
Too many times we have 17 calls to action from call now to contact us, send us a message, leave a comment, send a carrier pigeon and more. Figure out what you want people to do and stick with it. Put this in the top right corner and make it a brighter color than the rest of your website! This is extremely important and can not be overlooked. komarketing.com says that 44% of visitors to your site will leave if there is no contact information. ALWAYS give a clear Call to Action.
3. Testimonials from how this has made others lives better
This is fairly self-explanatory. OTHER PEOPLE SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF YOUR BUSINESS IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN YOU SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF YOUR BUSINESS.
